Vicente Advisory specialise in introducing investors to founders with rapid-growth businesses. The companies we profile are Pre-Seed right the way to Series-A and while we have no constraints in terms of the businesses we’re prepared to engage with, we like to work with those that have a cheque size of between £500k and £5m. This allows us to foster closer relationships with long-term potential for future investment rounds.

Repeat founders make up the majority of our client-base, however, we also consider first-time founders who have the ability to execute. When it comes to the latter, we look for those who have been nurtured by senior individuals or have businesses with either a tested product, IP, or an MVP.

  • Due diligence on the team and their business, ensuring that it passes basic entry-level benchmarks.

  • Refine, reposition and restate financials so that they display the required metrics for decisions to be quickly made.

  • Ensure the product or service message is clear.
  • Benchmark the team to identify and address any skills gaps.

  • Check that the IP is unique, exclusive and protected.

  • Ensure the basic commercials are in place; including cap tables, supplier agreements, IP protections, and employment contracts.

  • Review shareholder and investor agreements.

We undertake work throughout the client lifecycle and sometimes stay in the business for future events. The majority of our work is based on the end game of raising investment for the client, however in some circumstances we will also undertake work to help them in their aims of growth, preparation for the next stage or repositioning their IP or product.
